Techniques will be gradually introduced into these notes as and when they are needed.

Two will be introduced now :-

• Viewing the Data - How to view records in the database.

• Right Click Menus - Daisy fully impliments right click menus in charts and Daisy Grids and some dialogs.

Viewing the Data

Once the database has been opened, commands in the View menu can be used to display and investigate the data.

Records are shown as Daisy Grids, an example of which is shown.

Note the command buttons in the toolbar at the top of the dialog :-

• Close - Closes the grid.
• One - Shows the current row in detail.
• Find - Searches the data for a particular string.
• Sort - Sorts the data according to the values in any column.
• Save - Saves the data in the grid.
• Print - Prints the data.
• Daisy - Draws a Daisy Chart of the data.

You can also double-click the header of a column to sort the data according to that column. Double-click again and the sort is inverted.
